broken wire in fuel canister !!!!!help !!!!

no ,,i just take the broken pc out and layed the one with the sping down and put the new filter in ..thats it.started it up ck for leaks ( none) take it out for a 4-5 mile ride ck it still no leaks ,, i thing im slipped by this , haha. thanks for ck'n ..rich.. p.s. maybe we can talk about Tx some day .. my family gos back to early TEXAS ranger and he IS in the files in waco , just a whole bunch of them out their haha.

You can just unplug the wire on the inside where it connects to the side of the bowl if you don't want to remove or replace it. If you leave it connected it probably won't short till temps get down near 32* and the heater thermostat (where the wire connects) engages. If it shorts you'll blow an underhood fuse (8? 12?) and the truck wont start.
