my truck is on its way to the mechanic....b/c i am baffled i was gettin enough juice to geth the starter solenoid to click and i could hear the starter turning but the bendix wasnt kicking out so i figured id change the batteries...its almost winter anywayz:sly ....after 200$ and a trip to autozone still no change so my next step was to change the solenoid its cheap why not....still nothing....so the next thing i changed was the cables...and cleaned the grounds then i got to the starter pulled it off had it tested no problems....so this leaves me scratching my head.....something drawing the power down when i turn my key on press the cluch in and turn the key my volt meter reads about 4-6 volts:dunno so ill see if the mechanics at the shop can see something i overlooked....truck will start when i roll it down hill and pop the clutch

well you called it Dave had a Bad Ground Cable and the starter burned up damage wasnt too bad he charged me 245 plus tax, had him cut off the cat and muffler while he was under there too hopefully the components will sove my starting problems now that ive replaced my whole starting system, just need to get some new tires and shell be ready for winter. i had a question tho when i pulled my fuel filter to check the bowl, everything looked good its a newer filter but when i went to replace the filter there was way to much fuel in the bowl, but considering its fuel injected id assume the bowl wouldnt refill unless the pump was circulating, just was wondering if this was normal or if im overthinking things?

I've heard of some people attaching a hose to the drain valve, so the fuel doesn't get all over the motor. Does anyone know what size outlet it is?

Not sure of the size for sure but it must be around 1/4" I think the piece of hose I use is 3/8" and it fits a little loose. The outlet is right above the axle on the right side of the engine.
