Brakes!!

I keep getting the rotors too hot & warping them.I need to know what type rotors to replace the stock ones with. Cross drilled , frozen ??? I know I will get lots of advice, Thanks in advance. T.Tolle

I'm not going to get into this after the butt-reaming I took on this very suject about a year ago..

so I'll advise that: Check the REAR brakes to make sure they're doing thier fair share of the work..

Personally, I have had better luck with turning rotors than buying new ones. I guess I can only attribute it to the fact they have already been through many heat cycles, maybe to the point they start to stabilize and then are turned true again?

Anyway, you can buy the best rotors out there and if you abuse them they WILL warp. All just in my opinion of course....:D

I got frozen rotors ,pull 15,000 trailers and never had brake problem of any kind,best price i got was from the tire shop ,and i hammer on them ,long down grade and no brake fade

OK.... the obvious question.. What are you doing to get them that hot?

The brakes may be fine and you are having another problem, or there is a better solution.

are you sure they are warped, or could they be getting rust lines where the pads rest overnight....i am battling that problem now. feels just like a warped rotor. i think its because i have no dust shields.
