Changing the hydro-boost is not hard. It can be messy with all of the power steering fluid in there. Why not get a replacement for your year of truck??

I gotta go with Dave on this one..
just order one for your truck and not worry about interchanges..
unless you're going to try to boneyard one.. in which case I wouldn't.. you're liable to get just as many, if not more problems..

question..
does the brake pedal return slow?

The pedal does return. However they stay slightly on. If you give it a little throttle to get the truck moving and get off of it the truck will stop. While driving it like this you can hear clicks coming from the pedal area and it feels like the brakes release slightly.

I found a reman unit for $160, so I think I will pick it up and swap it out.
