Has anyone else had a problem with the switch that is connected to their brake peddal which acts as the tranny lock-out when your foot is not on the brake? (I also found out that is is used to dissengage the cruise controll by about running over the tiny car in front of me one day when it would not dissengage )
When I go to shift into R or D even with my foot on the brake it is locked out. I have to reach up under the dash and move the switch and shift the selector at the same time. Maybe this is one of Ford's new anti-theft devices
I have yet to stick my head up under the dash to check it out but I am wondering if anyone else has run into this issue.
It is almost like there is a spring worn out or something. Any thoughts??
