Check the Brake Light Switch.. on top of the brake peddal. Sometimes they stick, get cocked on the bracket.... or just wear out.

Might be able to use some lube and get it unstuck. Worth a try. One thing I got for xmas from my dad was a trailer wiring kit for my truck. My trailer light wiring on my truck has been hacked so many times that I would have to make sure my trailer lights were working everytime I hooked it up and most of the time I had to give the connections a good jiggle before they would work. Finally got a kit that actually plugs into my stock truck harness! Hard to find at the autoparts places. So nice to have plug and play!

Figured it out after talking to a friend ,who is a mechanic. Trailer brake controller was bad. Never even crossed my mine to check it out.
