I didn't get any codes at all, just couldn't get pedal after installing the new brake caliper and bleeding over a quart of new fluid through the system

You did bleed BOTH rear brakes? You should bleed the furtherest caliper first, then the closest caliper and do it again. Going through a quart of brake fluid is not uncommon.

Pedal got better just not where it should be, if I get time this weekend I'll bleed them some more and see if it improves.
