Box upper mldg on 2000sd

I got some side damage on the box from kissing a tree last winter plowing.On the estimate it shows"replace RT upper mldg 8' box 1c3299291a40aaa" Is this the black top edge mldg on the box? It looks like it just snaps into a few square holes punche in the top of the box side.There isnt any damage on it so why would they replace it instead of just popping it off and pushing it back on? I'll ask them next week when the truck goes in,but I'm curious about it now.

I would think reuse unless the tabs broke off that snap into the bed rail.

Tabs are fine,so is the mldg.Sounds lik butter on the estimate. I will address that on monday.
