and nope it wasnt from the heads, rooster

seems the upper radiator cover popped loose frm the the rest of the radiator
left a puddle in my driveway this morning

getting a new rad tonight

yep tech said it would be ready to when they open in the am
which is good caues its cold here and the boss gets to sleep inside tonight

That's rather unusual. We have a Chevy dealer in town that their service dept is open 24 hours from Monday a.m. to Saturday midnite. The wife's sister & family came up for the holidays and just as they pulled into town, coolant started coming out the water pump leak detection holes. They had plans where they needed the SUV the next day. So I suggested they call that dealer who got them in 9:00 that evening and we picked it up all fixed at 8:00 the next morning. So their skiing vacation went off with out a snag.

It gets worse , i got home this afternoon and went to pick her up,
but there she sat hood up and looking pitiful, no new radiator... seems ford has a nationwide shortage of 6.0 rads????-mad -mad thry told out dealer expect march deleivery, so we buttoned her back up, marked the degas bttle and went driving to the hacienda. hopefully monday they have a more realistic deleivery date

i was feeling so good when the tech said she would be fixed..... this morning he told me he was surprised the parts are not available...
How do you run out of radiators???


wonder if ford wil give me a loaner for a whle month if she blows the top completely off???

wonder if the 08 250 would fit the bill for 28 days
