a careful note here is that not all 6.0's are the same...the
boost will vary from yr 2 yr.

since day one (guages on since 1000mi) ive seen consistant
30lbs w/ peaks to 32...its VERY consistant, but it wont hit
these numbers COLD, the truck needs to be warmed up.

agreed... when cold, my 06 tops out at 20, then once she's warm, 30 or so...

Make sure & check the top intercooler hose, when it pops off it puts a nice little ding in your hood(which Ford also fixed). If only they didn't cheep out & kept the hood insulation it wouldn't have dented.

i'll add my :2c - just this week after pretty much a new engine rebuild, the motor is acting up. w/ the a/c on and at fan speed 2 when i came to a red light it acted like a gasser burning what's left of the gas in the carb b4 it would shut down. kinda like engine run-on. 2 days later it had a little hiccup and yesterday no a/c on and coming from an on ramp into traffic i stepped on it (not to harsh) it again did the little stutter like it was running out of fuel.

as to the hood insulation: dealership told me that on the new trucks (when started,:dunno ) they no longer put the underliner on or the firewall protection. something to do w/ it traps in too much heat. that is just what they told me.:dunno
