boost gauge

My truck has a bully dog boost gauge, never shows boost unless floored. I am installing the egr delete kit and noticed some one tapped and plugged something, it is right off the turbo not on the intake side but on the other line going to the inner cooler. Mine is on the other end of the innercooler on the housing in front of the oil filter and fuel filter. Which one is the right location? Thanks in advance.



P.S I am learning why diesel mech get paid pretty good, take off everything on top of intake to install egr delete kit....lol

that should be the intake elbow in front of the filters. this is the place you want to install the line for the boost guage. you might want to remove the elbow before you drill and tap for your fitting.

A lot use the elbow at the front of the eh=ngine. That s where mine is and it shows the slightest boost all the way up.

yeah i tapped into my intak elbow there...yeah thats why i just had studs put in when i did my egr delete since i was going to have to take all that off anyways
