boost bounces

Looking for some help, my PSD boost gauge starts bouncing on hard pulls (bounces 2-4lbs) can this be compressor surge? I have a 99 w/Banks Monster Exh., K&N, and a Hypertech, I have checked all IC components, codes, etc.. It runs great and pulls hard but I'm worried about bounce, Thanks for any info, greatly appreciated

Check the guage line on the boost guage. Any small kink or crimp can cause the guage to bounce. Common places are over tightened compression fittings and where the line passes through the fire wall.

Off topic: Welcome to SDD

Off topic: Most (myself included) will recommend getting rid of the K&N filter and getting something else like an AFE or Tymar. The K&N doesn't filter well enough for the diesel engines.
