Block Heater ?

I've search high-and-low for signs of a block-heater cable in all the obvious places - no luck. I believe this to be the first Ford I've ever owned without a block heater.

Is there a chance that this vehicle has the provision (hardware) for a block-heater but not the cable ? :dunno

Looking for some direction as to where the cable would connect to the engine, if in fact the engine was built with the heater.

Should this fail, any options?
1. OEM (what's involved?)
2. Other aftermarket options that are reliable ?

Great Forum - thanks for your help.:)

I located mine behind the front bumper just to the outside of the right fog lamp. It was bundled with the wires for the fog lamps.

Ford made a decision in 04 to equip certain trucks in "cold" climate
regions...they didnt notify anyone of the mid year change...there was
a tsb on it.

maybe now theyve reversed the decision...AGAIN ;)
