Brother in law's 2005 6.0L does not "seem" to have a plug in. Does ford make you buy the plug in cord and if so, where does it plug in. I am surprised that he has not had any issues as of yet since we have had several days at -10 to -25F below earlier this year.

Thanks

The cord attaches to the heater just above the starter on the passenger side. If no cord you'll be able to feel the connector it screws on to. Just put one on mine last month.

All 6.0's have the heater installed at the factory. But in Ford's infinite wisdom, only trucks built for cold states get the cord from the factory. If your truck doesn't have the cord, go to your local International truck dealership, ask for the cord for a 6.0. Way cheaper than a Ford dealer.
