Block heater recall

Has anyone had the block heater recall done? I had mine done after a four month wait only to find out that all the Dealership did was to cut the end off my plug. The recall letter said that the connections would be sealed.

I actually see now on the latest recall that Ford has no fix as of yet. The first notice I received said that the ends would be sealed. Sorry I had to vent because of the amount of time it took to get the plug cut. The first dealer said had to leave truck for 3-4 days. The second took 8 hours.

Yea the sealed my 17 and now they want to do a permanent fix in fall.

I got a letter from ford i called my dealer, he said they would have something around fall they don't have a permanent fix yet !

took my 2017 F350 6.7L soon as I got the letter & removed the block heater & said they would let me know as soon as Ford came up with a fix/parts.

Geeze. That's pretty serious.

took my 2017 F350 6.7L soon as I got the letter & removed the block heater & said they would let me know as soon as Ford came up with a fix/parts.

They fixed my 17 but it was not permanent. It has to go back in when they determine a real fix.
