block heater info:

this is a side bar from my house electric issue!!

i need to know if anyone knows how much the block heater element is supposed to run at?

this ?? comes from my furnace tech who came out today (oh, the furnace is functioning properly and so is the hot tub - the hot tub tech had NO idea as to why it was off w/o the breakers being tripped.) the furnace tech and i did lots of number calculating and he has that ?? he said that everything else in the house would not be an issue..just would like to know what the block heater pulls, as the timer is normal too....

fyi: those little ceremic space heaters.... big time electric users

You will need a 1500 watt timer to run the Block Heater. Don't go less.

i already have a timer... what i need to know is the block heater itself, what does it put out for watts/amps/millijoules whatever....

btw: my timer is a 15a/1875w timer

well go figure, still waiting on the dealer......
so i called IH, guy was not sure but thought 15-1800w. says that it should be plugged in 24/7 from october thru march and the bill shouldn't be that bad. i about fell off my chair. knowing my bill lately, their is no way it would be plugged in for 5 months straight.....

Mine read 924 watts just now. So I can safely say it is a 1000 watt heater.
