Blackstone UOA Shows Fuel in Oil

My dad just got his latest UOA back from Blackstone, and it shows 1% fuel in the oil. OCI is 6,000 miles Shell Rotella 15-W40, and the truck has ~80,000 miles on it. Any ideas about why the fuel would be there, but has never been there before?

could be wet stacking...(idling alot in cool weather ?)
could be a leaky injector too...i dont recall but the report should
tell you if 1% is an alarming amount...if i rememeber right i dont think it is.

They said that fuel is not considered a problem until it reaches 2%.

I would start with injectors and injector o-rings, etc. One of those leaking would cause fuel in oil.

Id keep an eye on it, that is to say do nothing now...and continue
to monitor it, if it increases then youve got something to be concerned
about.

you didnt say if the truck had recently been doing a lot of idling or
short trips that would have caused wet stacking.

is this the 1st sampling thats been done ? (is there a pattern of
historical increase of fuel in oil ? has it increased all of a sudden ?)
blackstone is telling you not to worry til it increases...whos advice would
you rather have...the experts or the forum ?

yea if the injecters keep dumping fuel when not supposed to then there will be excess fuel in the oil. If the oil level rises then you have a problem and fix it fast.

How hard are o-rings to replace? Just pull the vc's, pull the injector out and replace the rings? Thanks for your knowledgeable replies!
There has never been any fuel n the oil before, and we have sent many oil samples to Blackstone. There has not been any more idling than normal, letting the truck warm up and cool down.

Your oil analysis looks great man. They are just making you aware of the fuel increase and to keep an eye on it for the next analysis. Other labs wouldn't say anything about it at all. I had 1.0 fuel in my last analysis. I stopped idling it so much at work.

Just got my Blackstone analysis back and there's a 2% reading of fuel with ours

I may have to order a full set of O-rings for both sides and get it done the next available weekend,engine is about 5 years old probably due anyhows.
