My 05 Excursion 6.0 just hit 30k miles and when I drained the oil, I took a sample for the Blackstone oil analysis.
I have not had any problems with the engine except having the turbo being replaced or rebuilt 4 times. Dealer tells me I don't drive it enough and the CHRA keeps rusting. The new CHRA has a v-groove in it so hopefully this will help, but I digress.
My question is this. If the Blackstone oil sample comes back with something bad, say antifreeze in oil or high level of metals, can I take this report to the Ford dealer and say engine needs to be fixed?
I have the extended ExtraCare Warranty (7 years, 75k miles) but I am thinking unless the check engine light comes on, the dealer won't do anything.
Has anyone used a oil analysis report to get the dealer to fix something for them under waranty?
