Hmmmmmmm;

I just came back from a test run...

1. Started it up, no smoke. and ran it until temperature was in normal range.
2. Put the pedal to the floor and accellerated to 3500 rpm in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, no smoke...
The manuals have 1st-low, 1st normal, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and overdrive.
3. I can't make it smoke now... I will keep my eye on it.
4. Does not seem to be any carbon buildup at all.
5. I hope this was a one time anomaly.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

Maxtor,

You might look at running a tank or two of BIO, as well. That will clear up ANY build up in the tank. Of course, you'll need a new fuel filter afterwards.;)

You need to build max boost each time you drive it and you must drive it at least once a week.

I just had my 4th turbo installed in my X. Apparently the variable vanes are getting rusted shut from sitting in my garage.

Dealer told me I need to drive at least once a week, reach operating temp and run her hard.

Right now my 05 X only has 12k miles. I now take her to work once a week and put the metal to the pedal!

Thanks for all the good advice... Only thing is I will be having another hip replacement soon, and truck will be sitting for another four months.
Now I drive it about two times a month. I am sure that is not enough.
I will puchase a good code reader, but for now, I do not have any lights or warnings from the dash.
I just took it to get our Wildcat 29rlbs from the dealer, (they were installing slide out awnings) "toppers", and I did not notice any smoke.
So I am hoping that it was a one time thing, but probably not.

If it went away, you will be OK Maxtor. Your heath comes first, and your truck can and will wait. :) :)

Yep Dave;

I do not have much of a choice. I am going to install the little tires and drive it into the garage until I am able to drive it again. I have an appointment with the surgeon on May 29th, to see if they can cut on me sooner... Looks like maybe June 15th. Otherwise,, I have to wait until September 5th.
The earlier they cut, the sooner I will be able to live my life without pain, and go on our trip pain free. Yeah.....
:bama

I have to laugh about the above... I have not been able to "dance" in seven years.
