You have to run the 6.0 to keep the vanes free. It was designed to haul loads, not groceries.
That being said, consider a FICM flash with the Atlas 40. It changes the RPM settings on the vanes, changes the fueling slightly, and makes the truck much more responsive and easy to drive. It's a win-win. Truck is better, and you'll want to drive it harder because it finally runs like it should, or like it did in the beginning before the factory Ford flashes crippled it early on. A fuel add like Opti-Lube or FPPF Lubricity + Fuel Power can help keep the vanes clean by enabling more complete combustion and less soot.
Someone will say no tunes if not studded, and I agree to a point. The Atlas 40 is Factory TTY bolt safe generally, but your mileage may vary depending on overall condition of the truck.
