Hey guys, I've been spendin alot of time researching biodiesel, so much in fact im curious as to if i can turn the beard ive grown into some sort of fuel...anyway, ive got a line on grease, and i have a 45 gallon fuel tank that someone liberated for me. Turns out Freightliner won't commercially sell any semi tank that has a dent or scratch in it(for anyone that may be in that market). Unfortunately im a little confused as to where to go from here. I'm balking at buying the 50 dollar plans, because I'd hate to realize im gonna be over my head and be out 50 bucks. I was hoping someone here wouldnt mind taking a little one on one time with me so i can figure out exactly what im going to need for the full setup. Once I figure out what I need I will have no problem assembling it, its just been difficult to establish what setup is right for me. FYI i have an 04 6.0, no mods except my sweet fire extinguisher and hawk pads from the guys at frozenrotors. Thank you in advance for the help guys.

UtahBiodieselSupply.com best place in the USA for mail order homebrew biodiesel stuff. Of course you will need my software.

The tank you speak of will take a lot of modification to make it into a reactor.
Go with the Water Heater set up. Already insulated wired heated inlets out lets.....
Find someone local thats making it and check em out.
Do some research on terminology, helps a lot when your asking questions once you get started.
WVO = Waste Vegetable oil
VO = Vegetable oil assumed new

Whooooooa, I just noticed your here in Omaha!
Gotta get my eyes checked.
I'm your guy, thats why we are here, to help others get started.
I host "Open Garages" and do hands on demos.
So far we have not charged for these sessions and as long as the donations for food and drinks hold up we wont.
Right now I do not have any session scheduled but am looking at mid August. We normally have them on Sundays.
I am also open to drop ins when I am making biodiesel.
I just started a batch this afternoon.
You can call me if you would like, the number is on our web site OmahaBiodiesel.net.
