BIG PROBLEMS!!!!!

ok well i think i blew it up!the 95 in my signature.

on my way to the shop i kinda hammered it a little.well it started blow grey smoke at idle,big clouds of it.smells like diesel.started skipping and knocking.so i babied it home with huge grey/black clouds following me.i havent touched it yet.i got a friend coming to get me.and im going out on the quad to see if i can blow that up too.any ideas what the problem could be?:cussing: :cussing: :rant :rant :rant :rant :rant :nutkick:

Did it drop a valve? Smoke color and sounds you describe could be posible. have you removed the valve covers to see? alos could be an injector dumping fuel or blew the tip off. let us know what you find.

I would be leaning to an injector stuck, and dumping fuel.... Gray and black would point me in that direction, as long as no blue....

Yeah, I think injector also. Cant be all that bad, you didnt window the block didja? Let us know Rich.

i havent touched it yet.i had another companies truck at my shop that had to be done today.i grabbed my scanner to see what it says buts it rainin like a mother out there.

i dont think i threw a rod,no oil under the truck or smoke from under the hood.all i did was romp on it a little going around a corner.the smoke is grey and turns to solid black.no oil burning smells like i was dumping diesel straight into the exhaust.it made no strange noises before this.it was running perfect.if i start it and let it idle i cant see the nieghbors house in about 2 minutes after starting it.im afraid to keep running it i dont wanna hydro lock it and bend a rod.:(

would a burnt harness cause this?yesterday while makeing a friend crap himself i smelt wires burning.havent checked that out yet either.i got it home,jumped on my quad and hit the woods till another friend came and picked me up.

but would it cause it to dump straight fuel into the cylinder/s?that would cause the idm to shut down that bank of injectors and would cause a no fuel situation,wouldnt it?

I had an injector go bad in my Turbo Coupe.It knocked very loud till I changed them.I thought I blew it up.

I thought I heard something about EMD'ed tips (as the Stage II's have) being weaker with the larger holes and possibly breaking, thus why they don't reuse the tips for the added strength of new ones. Is it possible that could have happened, could that cause what is happening? :dunno Just throwing out ideas, please don't slap me if I am full of nonsense :oops:
