Have you tried turning over the motor after working on the plug?
If you've had penetrant soaking in there for a while (day or 2 or more?) I've heard of puting a piece of plywood or similar over the motor (cover up your open head, too, with a towel or ??) and cranking it over the stuck plug may shoot out of there under compression.
Sounds simple enough to try before givin up and taking it to a shop.

PSD's aren't IDI

It sounds to me like that shop thinks you have an IDI. They are talking about a prechamber in the head, PSD's are direct injection(DI), the injector shoots directly onto the top of the piston, Indirect injection(IDI) shoot into the small chamber, in which the glow plug also is.

I recommend either pulling the injector and trying to fish it out or trying to blow it out like Jim suggested. I know some guys like to try to get the tip to blow out the exhaust by ragging on the truck. Sometimes it works(In the case of my old 6.9L IDI), and sometimes it bends rods(Like a truck I saw at work).

I would personally go to another shop, those guys seem to think you have a 7.3L IDI, which is a totally different motor, JMHO,

I'd start the truck with something covering the head & engine to stop the high speed projectile.

The other suggestion is that if you can get needle nose pliers on it then you can get a set of needle nose vicegrips and possibly work it out with them.

I GOT IT ! !........I soaked it for a day with PB Blaster, Grabbed it with a needle nose Vise Grips, started to work it up and down until it FINALLY came out. I would tap it a little with a 1/4" extention and then pull it out a little with the needle nose vise grips. After about 10 minutes of this it slid out ! THANKS EVERYONE ! This site is the BEST ! !

Congratsulations on getting the broken glow plug out. Now you know why we recommend only Beru/Motorcraft glow plugs. Can you imagine doing this every time you have a bad plug??

well, thought id post anyway, This is for reference. soaking it can take a while, maybe up to four days. And i was suggested to use a pair of needle vice grips and a mini slide hammer, harbor freight. Worked for me.

i bet they are gonna try to do what ive seen and heard people do with the old 6.2 chevies, push the glowplug into the prechamber and leave it.even then it will get into the cylinder.
Been there done that. I left one in a 6.2 and within 30 seconds after firing it up a hole appeared right through the top of the piston

Glad you got it out of there :thumbs

Yes. It says, ONE ZD-11 (F4TZ-12A342-BA) Glow Plug (Ford Motorcraft). BY THE WAY ! ITS PURRING LIKE A KITTEN ! ! The new valve cover gasket and wire harness inside the valve cover did the trick.
Thanks a Million for everyones help!
