A friend of mine install a Big G milage miser module about six moths ago. It is a mild module, 50 hp, I think...Anyway, this week end he was pulling out of the boat landing with his boat, and had to get on it because of traffic. He heard a loud pop, and the two soft hoses of the "cold" side of the turbo intake blew. He took it to the Ford dealer and they wacked him with a $500 bill. They told him it was beacause of the module. I told him I didnt think so, may be wrong but I helped him install it and if I recall it doesnt turn on until the engine temp reaches 180, and he had only been running the truck about 10 minutes. The Ford dealer told him that it was the module, what do you guys think? Oh yeah, they also told him his k&n cold air intake was a waste of money and they dont help anything but put a dent in your wallet. I think he was fed a bunch of bs. :thanks What do you huys know about Predator modules? for the 7.3

I have nothing to add or subtract about the hose issue, BUT Ford is right about the K&N Filter. They do not filter very well. You can check this by running your finger along the inside of the filter housing and feeling the small dust particles on the INSIDE of the filter. This will lead to ring/cylinder failure.

why on earth would you take a vehicle to ford with a module still attached anyway ???
secondly , why on earth would you floor it (esp while towing) when the engine is not even warmed up ???
sounds like someone doesn't expect their engine to last long to begin with, so why get mad when it leaves them stranded.
