of you are sure that you are making the power in the powerrtain, then you will be losing it in the conversion into motion.

bad bearings and brake drag come to mind robbing power.

these trucks are so loud you might not her it.

Ok. Thanks for the tips guys. I was actually planning on doing new brakes and rotors soon anyway. My truck definitely could use them. While towing, stopping can be kinda scary. I would like to upgrade them while Im at it. Anybody have suggestions for decently priced upgrades?

Naturally yer call Clint.. but don't skimp.. when it comes to Brake set-ups, if yer guna do brakes AND rotors.

I went with Frozen Rotors.. complete New [everything]. They are Phenomenal, as compared to OEM. Especially towing something.They're a SDD site sponsor too ?

You might check'm out though they're Link on here ??

If you call'm.. be sure and have yer Build date. They'll only sell you what NEEDS to go on yer 02, 350.. not what'll Fit ?

well, Its time for brakes, and I'm gonna spend the extra buck and get frozen rotors and pads from our sponsor on here. Big Joe, after searching threads on here, I found your thread when you did your rotors and brakes. what other parts should I have on hand that are cheap to replace while I have the rotors pulled? I know I should go ahead and repack the front end bearings, but other than that? does anyone have a good wiki on how to do our brakes? Iv'e never done them on our trucks and it's been years since I've done brakes at all. just wanting to make sure theres nothing I'm forgetting before I tear everything apart.

They are really easy to do. I had to do them this last summer on my truck (all four wheels).

Don't forget the kit for all the little pieces that need replacing too.... I made that mistake..... LOL

You can't pack the wheel bearings. These trucks have "Unit Bearings" and there are no user serviceable parts. It is new bearings or nothing. If they are not loose, use them.

Ok. Thanks dave. I'm still learning here. Is that because i have a straight front axel and not IFS?

It is because FORD wanted a non-user serviceable part. You have to go into the dealer to get them replaced. You can replace them but you cannot re-pack them. They are sealed bearings.
