I am sure some of you already know this but I am going to post it anyway. I read on the other site about cleaning the MAF sensor for better mileage. After I read it I remembered it so this is for everyone that forgot like I did. Anyway I sprayed electric cleaner on the sensor wire and it definately worked. I put 4k miles on my truck this week and even at 80mph I saw 14mpg which is good for me. Normally at that speed I stay in the low 13's to high 12's. I stayed at 70mph for the first tank and I saw high 15's. This may not work for all but it did for me so give it a try, it can't hurt.

Now is this calculation based on the overhead or the ol' logbook?

Just seeing where this is going :)

I used both to make sure it was going to work. My overhead actually shows less than what I actually get, it has always been around .5 off.

Don't touch the thin wire with anything just spray it! If you break the wire you will have to replace the MAF. Anyway, try it and lets us know if it works for you.

My '01 7.3L doesn't have a MAF sensor. SpeedTracer from AE won't do the Volumetric Efficiciency test because of this.

SDeric I don't think you have one.

I'm willing to try this one, just tell me where to find the Mass Air Flow sensor. I did lose about 1 mpg around 25k miles.
