Question best oil for 2003 7.3

I run Delo 400 in the 97' OBS and Schaefers in the X. The reason....I was taught that once you run one in it to stick with it. I bought both of them used and just continued running what was already in them. Now if they have crappy oil in them, then definitely switch. Just my 2 cents.

Here in Alaska I use Rotella 5w40 synthetic and dont have to plug in till it gets -25 Degrees. Sure is nice when I cant plug in and have been gone for 2 weeks at a time at sub zero weather to know the old girl(2000 F350) will fire right up. Wont do this with conventional oil.

3000, 5000, 7500, more?
My oil & filter is at 6000 and I plan on changing it this week

I use John Deere plus 50 diesel oil and fleetguard filters.The oil is $15 a gal from The Deere dealer. It needs to be change every 3000 ,but no more than 4000 mi.

I use Rotella 5W-40 and change the filter every 5,000 miles like clock work. 6000 is too long unless you are running Synthetic oil. Deere oil for $15 per pail is not syn oil.

I use Mobil Delvac 15W-40 and Motorcraft filters. I change the oil and filter every 3K mi and fuel filters every 6K.

No the Deere syn is $30 a gal that why I use the regular oil, and I work for John Deere.

I have been running delvac 15 40for the last 25,000 miles. Can I switch and run 5 40 synthetic for the winter and go back to delvac after cold season is over.
