Been a ford man since 1953, tough, work hard, easier to work on, my opinion is the keep it simple, idea works. Today's trucks are to complicated to be good. I have a 1996 & 1997 f-250, heavy duty, manual transmission, 7.3 v/8 diesel. 500,000+ miles, used amsoil since 150,000. Runs strong when everthing works. Let us down the first time in three years. Computer, and idm went out. Otherwise the best truck on the road!!!!!

I have a 96 F250 back home with 570,000 miles. Been using valvoline 10-30 for all but 25,000 miles of it. Only problem that we had with it is a blown head gasket. Other than that, the engine is untouched. Welcome to SDD

Been a Ford man since my First 1968 F100 Stepside with 3 speed on the column and a 240 cubic inch 6 cylinder. If you played with the manual choke you could get it up to about 75 mph. You could crawl over the fender and stand beside the engine to work on it. You didnt have anything under the hood except what was needed to make the engine power the truck.
