bed weight and traction

Winter is upon us, and I need a hand with traction. Mine is a 2010 F-350 short bed Superduty
Winter here is dry wet and snow and ice.
I have been looking at Shurtrax bladders weighing 200, 300 and 400lbs.
Any suggestions?

One issue with sand bags is that they are frozen 50-80# projectiles if there is an accident. Which happens too much with the white stuff.

Yes, I agree with you, but, a bladder should stay put better.

Just look at those heavy-duty tie downs. HaHa! Might stay slightly better...not much.

What I always did was grab a shovel and pile snow in the bed.... Won't hurt anybody, and it goes away when you don't need it anymore.

I do know that my Ex does ok weight wise......
