I can't speak for Optimas, but Motorcraft or Sears would be my pick. More important than the name is the CCA (cold cranking amps) at 800 or higher. This is what starts your truck in the cold and wet. DO NOT SKIMP on lesser batteries!!!!

I can only speak for the single Optima that I had in my Ranger a few years back...and the replacement battery that was warrantied because it died within the first year of me owning it.

I DO NOT LIKE THEM and will NEVER buy another.

Granted, that is just one opinion, but I honestly do not think the Optima is worth getting.

Sears has two, 750 South (stock) and 850 North.
Our store did not have the 850 which is what I wanted.
I just bought mine at Autozone, 850CCA, same price as Sears

I was just at my local Ford dealership the other day and noticed that they had three different batteries on display. One of them was a Motorcraft Super Duty Series and I believe it had 900 or 950 CCA.

The Optima Red Top can be had in many configurations: Optima RedTop Specs - Red Top AGM Batteries by Optima

I have some experience with optimas and have been very pleased with the red, yellow and blue top products in different applications. Hope this helps.
