Batteries, alternator,, or worse?

Sounds like multiple problems..

You need to replace the batteries IN PAIRS (we can't say this enough around here), the go back and recheck the alternator.

It also sounds like you have a bad body ground.
Get checking those ground wires; feel around the body near them, see if they're warm. Heat means high resistance. Take them apart & check them anyway. No shortcuts.

And don't let autozone's dumba@@ counterboy check your truck. Find a reputable shop that you can use regularly, if you can't do this stuff on your own. Best to spend a little to fix it right, rather then spending alot to throw the wrong parts at it. That's my 2 cnts

Yeah, I know,, Autozone was the only place open,, and I wanted my batteries checked.. I took it to a mechanic I know yesterday, and had it checked again, individually, and same results, I went and picked up an alternator, and put it on,, problem solved! Thanks for the replies guys.

There ya go! I understand you do what you gotta do in a pinch, just good to take Autozone's opinion w/a grain of salt. Glad you got it fixed ;tu
