Just wanted to let others know, that if they have the Banks boost tubes on their 6.0, the turbo coupler from the tube to the turbo, aint the best design.

my clamp on the turbo side has cut into the coupler and has caused some leakage.

so i called up banks, and was gonna just get another coupler, but i asked the REP if they had made any design changes. he said yes, that they had redesigned the boost tube itself and that he would send one out to me that day.

i asked him, well how much is that gonna cost me? he said, no charge.

so here are some pics of the new boost tube and coupler.

there maybe others on here that may want to call up banks and get the better boost tube and coupler sent to them.

Good for you bama. Glad that you got that fixed. That is a good company to have around. Can't wait to call Banks and get some new parts.

spray it down with some simple green, wash away the green with the hose on a fine mist setting.

spray the entire engine compartment down with your choice of shiny stuff, son of a gun, armour all, etc.

let it set for about 20 to 30 minutes, and then wipe everything down (the best you can)

the shine will last for a good while.

That tube is way better than the original. All the weight was tearing the old boot. Now you got a stiff rubber coupler. That engine bay is the cleanest one I have seen in a while. My 06 has a dirtier engine bay than that and it has about 600 miles on it. She is going for paint today and I will probably get it back next week. I can't wait.
