Ok well I was putting back together my truck and I was trying to tighten the band clamp that connects the up pipes to the turbo well I was trying to draw the two together. And the clamp broke. So you guys know where I can get them for a decent price? Thanks

Turbo clamp

$$ I don't but I know they are expensive(very). Can you fix the one you have. If the stud broke you can grind down a long enough bolt and that will do the trick. The International dealer will be cheaper than Ford but some trucks use different exhaust on IH products. :watchout

Ok. The loops that the the bolt hooks into bent and it pulled through. I have a tig welder maybe I can weld somthing to it to fix it. I wouldve thought their would be a lot of used ones out there

Clamp

Yea seen that before, did you overtighten it? If you got a welder then bend the tangs back together around the stud and tack a spot on the rear where the T of the bolt is exposed, cost ratio to replace it your more likely to fix it yourself and save 70-80 bucks. I got one for that engine but I'm in Boston :sorry.

thanks for the help bud.. yeah well i when i was putting egr delete kit on it said to put up pipe on so i did and tighened well when i put turbo back on the turbo and uppipes wouldnt get real tight they were close.. but i think i didnt have the clamp on the botom good and it was a pain to tighten.. i got it as tight as i could . got truck back together and started it.. and heard alot of air noise from turbo area.. so im guessing it needed to be ultra tight seal .. so i went to try and tighten more and it snapped.. so i bent it back and got it where i thought it would be fine. this time i tooke up pipe section loose so i could move the pipe more free and the clamp clamped on easy this time, but when iit got close to the end it popped through again. so i took it loose bent it back and just snugged up it. still have air noise and exhaust smell in the cab ha.. so just drove home from my friends shop. figured i would get new clap or fix it clamp and redo connection. i have about 1/16 crack between the pipes and the v clamp has about 3/8 gap away from being tight. im guessing this is the cause of the noise, we torqued the intake bolts to spec. i wouldnt think truck would run good if the intake was leaking. and btw would a 04 v clamp be the same as 05 thanks

Clamp

Yes a clamp off the engine your buddy has will fit and I forgot to mention something to you. The flange where the up-pipes meet the turbo there is a small dowel that keys them together. Plus you should leave everything loose before the final torque on the exhaust components if you changed any of them. Good luck at the Stealership too.
