4x4, Bush. The entire bearing [which just unbolts and comes out] was stuck in the spindle itself.
WOW ! so was it making any noise ? did they replace the spindle ?

TBar, I will be attacking the passenger side Friday afternoon and Saturday morning if you want to come watch.
No, no noise, just stuck in housing. The other side came out with a little persuasion from a small prybar. They cleaned up the inside of the housing with some steel wool, and the new unit went right in. It looked to me like it got rusty inside the housing and it just got gummed up and stuck. Bush, I couldn't understand it either. But I watched them heat it, pry it, bang it, swear at it, even try walking it out with an air chisel. These guys have been around a while and said they had done ball joints on NBS superduty's a hundred times and never seen one that stuck. FWIW, I'm not made of money. I had it done because I work 6 days a week, sometimes 7. It would cost me more to be down a driver or truck than it did to have the job done.WOW ! so was it making any noise ? did they replace the spindle ?
If I have time, I may be able to lend a hand.
