This winter our family and Excursion has almost seen it all including 2 blizzards and counting the ice storms as they roll thru but hey, long as we stay out of the way of the invincible ice drivers we're good:sweet
Here's some photos that Troy a friend down in Leander TX shot of his Mustang iced over big time Tues-Weds morning:doh:

Those are the people who moved here from out of state.

dont think so...the ones that THINK they can go on ice have never
lived in it.

snow can be driven on...ice cant <w/out studded tires or chains> simple
as that...i lived in virginia most of my life drove in it all the time...and
even there its the folks that have never drive in it that are the problem.

i saw the same thing in alaska too...

think ive never understood <living in houston> is WHY people dont just
wait an hour <or so>...'course theyre the same folks that THINK they
can still drive <on ice>

pdt1081. Hasn't this been a horrible winter? And what do the people of Flint think of the big Ford driving around up there? Im about halfway between NW Ohio and Flint. As for the Texan's :roflmao I drive a 2 wheel drive F250 at work and don't have and problems in the snow or ice. I saw news clips from Tex and some guy in a Honda or something was losing it on the highway before he ditched it. :roflmao

The Flintoids just love my truck:D Especially the little 12 year olds who like to play in the street. It's a game to them, see how close they can get to vehicles driving by. It only took one precision blast of thick black smoke for them to leave the street when they hear me...which is at least 4 blocks away.....:sweet

As for this winter, it's the complete opposite as last year. A year ago, all the snow was before the end of December. This year, no snow until January, although there still isn't any at home yet. I felt bad for the construction company I was working for. All the rain made it virtually impossible to work outside. If it would have frozen, we could have gotten trucks in and out without too much problem. With the rain they'd just sink. The company's winter income usually comes from plowing snow.

Hanging in there up in Conroe, finally got some good weather today. Well I mean no ice but still freakin freeeeezzzzzzing. But it was fun on Wed while driving to work. Was on I-45 headed to Conroe Golf Cars and crossed a bridge and had to drive out of my passenger side window. Turned into the spin and truck came back around. Really violant when the truck hit dry road. Funny to see all the cars and trucks locking up the brakes to slow down. Well now have a leak in the roof. That is all.

Here in Missouri, we got hit pretty hard by all the sleet. There is prolly two inches or so of ice in Columbia. The roads aren't bad anymore. They were pretty slick on Fri night and Sat then cleared up ok. It has been very cold here, not giving the ice a chance to melt.

Tues morning it was zero, and I can't plug it in at my apartment. It started like a pulling tractor. And smoked like one for about 15 minutes. Then finally cleared up. I am sure the people in my apartment complex love me at 7 in the morning. Had it on my high idle, with my EBPV switch engaged. Through six inch stacks, and backed up to the building. It's loud.

weather has been a whole lot of Nothing so far! Dire predictions of ice and 3 to 6 inches of snow over night. Not so much as one flake! At least I have the day off though.
