Bad Vibes. '01 250

Get goin bout 55 or so and every once in awhile itll start vibratin like your drivin on the rumble strips and it is loud in the cab, the sound will continue to lower speeds but it will stop when you slow to a stop. ive checked everything all u-joints, ball joints, wheel bearings the wieghts are still on the driveshaft. the only thing i have a concern about is that the slip joint in the drive shaft has a little side to side play. the vibration doesnt do it all the time its intermittent. at this point im clueless.

any ideas, this is my friends truck and im helpin fix it.

You have the two-piece driveshaft with the joint in the middle of it. Have you checked the joint for slop? That would be my guess.

Is it a death wobble? could be radius arm bushings if it is equipped with them.

Check the center bearing in the drive shaft.

I had asked in a different thread a while ago if anyone knows of an aftermarket carrier bearing by chance. I just replaced mine for the 2d time in 3 years and I think it was bad from the dealer. Anybody????

dont have a carrier... sorry should have said its a ext. cab short bed.
