I had always thought that those clips on the center caps would help the lug nuts from backing off?? guess not. I'll have to rember that, I just ordered new tires today. I guess Ill be checking them daily for about a month.

Scot, I hope the rest of the week goes better for ya!

There was something on 60 min or one of the Sunday night news shows about U-Haul Ford F-350 lousing a rear wheel from time to time. They said it was because U-Haul sepc out what bolts would be used on the ones they ordered.
Did some of us get trucks with U-Haul rear ends in them?:roflmao

The thought of all eight(8) lug nuts backing off without a sound or a wobble just boggles the mind............... :dunno

my 95 F350 has done it also but i caught it before the wheels came off.only reason i knew they were loose was cuz i looked in the mirror to see the road kill that was laying on the street and saw my wheels wobblin. ended up with 3 broken studs/lost nuts.and 5 bent studs on the drivers side-mad .checked the passengers side and they were loose but not as bad as the drivers side.now i just check them every couple weeks.i dont torque them though i zap em till they are good and tight with an impact gun.
