My brother has an 05 Excursion with the 6.0 diesel and it had developed a very bad miss.
After haveing a Ford tech put the truck on a computer he was told that the #2 injector was bad as well as the fuel injection module. A new module and injector, $950.00 later the truck still misses badly and in my opinion way down on power.
Unfortunately, this is his first diesel so he has no other truck's to compair this one to. I on the other hand have owned several so I took his truck for a spin. It has an obvious miss, sputters and while going through the gears (automatic) fades in out with power and after the torque converter locks up it viberates the entire truck. He said he had the fuel filter changed about 3k ago.
Any thought's would be appreciated. You guy's have helped me alot over the past few years, I thought I would see if we can help figure this one out.
