Max, my prayers are with your and your family. Yes I know what you mean regarding the frequency of the losses. Sometimes it comes in "spurts", lose several over a few years, then get a break (if you want to call it that), then it starts again. In my case, within 10 years from age 17 to 27, I lost my paternal grandparents and both of my grandfather's brothers and the oldest of my two aunts. Five great people who meant a lot to me during my childhood. Then the next year, my father in law passed away at 46 from lung cancer. As we all know "death takes no holiday, and it knows no age". We all just have to be ready when God says it's time to go.

Thanks Wayne and Robert;

Yes all of us have or are going to have many loved ones leave us. That is why it is so important to get together with family and friends, and share some quality time together. The older you get the more significant it is. When you are young, and working to make a living, it seems like there is not any time for relationships.
As we get older, we realize, that we missed so many good times with our Grandparents, Parents, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, because we were to busy. When they are gone, it is to late. It is to late to make that phone call to tell them that you think they are special.
Even youngsters like Wayne and Robert know what I am talking about.

Thanks again everyone... sorry for the long winded speech. I am just feeling reflective now.
