Bushpilot, question on the KC back-up lights. Am I correct to assume If you wire it according to the diagram you supplied with the optional 6303 switch, the lights will come on either when you put the truck in reverse or any time you want if you just flip the switch? thats what the wiring diagram tells me, but I want to make sure.
Zactly ! the diagram that they show, allows the lights to come on
when the truck is shifted into reverse...OR any time time switch is turned on,
add a 3 position switch and you can prevent them from turning on all together.
nice if youve ever have to work behind the truck (at night) hooking,
un-hooking or unloading (motorcycles/cars) a trailer etc.
I used my own switch, and bought the wiring separately......their
reverse light kit comes w/ the relay & wiring (although its not enough
wiring for a 20+ foot truck)
one of the nicest FUNCTIONAL mods ive done...tinted windows on a
crewcab means youre PROBABLY using your mirrors to back in the driveway
anyway...w/ these lights you can actually SEE when you reverse into
the driveway (or where ever) !
its also nice, for me, towing the car/motorcycle trailer...i can flip the
aux. reverse light switch on...goin' down the dark interstate at night
and check my cargo/load.
jc whitney has the kc reverse lights for 69 bucks -->
