back up lights don't work

Hi folks,
My back ups lights have stopped working and the back up sounder ?
Have checked the fuse box and verified both lights and both are not burned out . Is there a contact somewhere that may control this , steering column or on transmission ? Bought the truck used ,but they were working when I recieced it last week, then I . Big truck I like people to know I am backing up .

check first: the ground wire under the box on the right hand side, about a foot forward of the bumper mount...

check second: the "neutral safety" switch (actually called a "park-neutral sensor" now) on the left side of the transmision..
