They just opened a new Lowes here in town. It was another place I applied, but I got a "Dear Kent" postcard.
The new Lowes has been open for about three weeks. For some reason I haven't even been through the door yet.
I should have sent a response to their post card:

To Whom It May Concern,
Thank you for your postcard of October 16. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me a manager position in your receiving & stocking department.
This year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually
large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field
of candidates, it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.
Despite Lowes' outstanding qualifications and previous experience in
rejecting applicants, I find that your rejection does not meet my needs at
this time. Therefore, I will assume the position of Manager of Receiving & Stocking department this November. I look forward to seeing you then.
Best of luck in rejecting future applicants.

Good for you TG. One question does your Target smell funny? The ones around here smell funny as soon as you walk threw the door. Guess it is because were the put the food court.

I know what you mean. I am familar with the store that Tail Gunner works at and it does smell funny. I dont think its because of the food court but I think its because they are kept really clean compared to Wal Mart.

The only area that smells is near the door in back where you go to toss stuff into the dumpster.
What doesn't "stink", is that in the early morning before the store opens, when all the cardboard boxes are a flying and the shelves are getting stocked, a local classic rock station is played over the PA system.
So the entire store is rockin' from about 4 am to 8 am to Skynard, Pink Floyd, ZZ Top, Led Zepplin etc. There are a lot of much worse working conditions out there. At 8 am when the store opens, the music goes off in case a country music lover walks in the front door.
