The water pump has < 50K on it, so I'll hold off until it goes out. The filter system was the biggest thing coolant mod wise that I wanted to do, I didn't know what else might be out there. Mine is a late model 95 based on the fact that it doesn't have a "true" radiator cap (according to what BJS wrote). If I don't have a 203* thermostat, what is the advantage of putting one in.
As always thanks for the input, I find as I grow older I am becoming an information sponge and I appreciate all that y'all throw my way.
See ya',

I'll add to this list by recommending a coolant filter setup like THIS ONE at dieselsite.com. I've had one for two years. Didn't the '95s come with a 203* t-stat? I believe dieselsite's 203* is designed for '96 & '97s with the newer design waterpump.

You're correct the dieselsite is designed for the 96&97 trucks however the switch to that type thermostat occoured in mid year '95. If I'm not mistaken it happend @ the same time as the trucks lost the radiator cap in favor of a degas bottle.

If you are going with a coolant filter system I would give Dale at Tymar a call. I am very happy with the setup I got from him. The kit from Dieselsite is also good.
