When we go cross Country, we plan on leaving a campground around 9 a.m. and drive until noon. Have lunch, and back on the road at 1 p.m. Then drive until 4 p.m. and then settle into the next campground. That is six hours on the road, which is enough when enjoying the view. That should be around 300-360 miles per driving day. When retired, you are not in a hurry to get to the next place. As many people say.... " The journey is as important as the destination".

No more of those for us either WD. Like Maxtor.. on the road 'bout 9 ish, off the road 'bout 4 ish or 300 miles.. Which ever occures first.

We're also looking forward to staying another day if we want. Just to see More of, wherever we are.

:sweet

maybe its because i am young and i need to get somewhere (like when i am delivering my car to its new owner) my brother and i will drive 1,000 miles in a day. Once i fill up we dont stop untill the fuel light comes on so thats about 450 miles or so? swap drivers and continue :D

Cruising around, I found one of our local fuel stations that had diesel for $3.399 so I went back and got the PSD and put in 73 gallons in our new tank.
When we ordered our truck from the factory, we ordered it with the camper package which is stiffer springs and sway bar.
Even with the 654 pounds which includes the fuel and weight of the aluminum tank and tool box, the truck bed looks to be the same height as before the addition of the 654 pounds. Of course as we drive on our trip, we will be loosing weight as the fuel is burnt off.
:D

I would be really surprised if you did see or feel that extra fuel. 650 pounds is nothing to these trucks.

if anything that weight will make the ride "empty"
a little smoother. I know when i have a motorcycle or
two in the bed the truck rides a little smoother <less stiff>
