My X did not come with a DVD player.

I just bought a Audiovox dvd player and two 7" Pyle headrest monitors.

How do I get sound to play from the factory 6 CD radio?

Is there an RCA input on the back of the radio?

The ford factory radios dont have aux inputs...

take a look at pac-audio (auxbox & auxbox2) you might be able
to use their solutions (but they are primarily for mp3 input)

personally i wouldnt wanna hear the audio portion of any dvd that
i couldnt see (while driving).

consider replacing the factory head unit (theyre POOR units
at best)...and before anyone says they dont wanna loose the
steering wheel controls you...PAC-AUDIO makes devices that
will integrate the steering wheel controls w/ after market head units
(the head unit must be capable of being controlled by an IR remote).

Mike,PIE lists the FRDN-AUX for the 2000-2005 Excursions. You can input any external audio device with RCA connectors.

I recommend everyone to My Radio Store for Auxiliary Audio Adapters :sweet

I just added RCA aux inputs to my stereo for MP3 using the PIE adapter. I don't have a changer, but I know they also sell adapters that allow you to keep the changer as well.

remember the the radio must be a

Satellite-capable radios which is identified by a "SAT" button. Please
note this is NOT compatible if vehicle is equipped with OEM Rear
Seat Entertainment (RSE) system or factory satellite radio.

So do I use the FRDN-AUX or the FRDN-AUX/S?

I don't have the factory installed DVD setup although I do have the 6CD radio.

Just to input the DVD or any other audio source into the Excursion's CD6 via RCA's,the FRDN-AUX is all you'll need.

Once the PIE is connected to the CD6 and Audio source just hit the "AUX" button and you're in.

Will it keep his changer?
