Actually, several Ford gas models back to 94 also had OBDII, but since the standard wasn't in effect till 96, they weren't all 100% compliant with the generic codes.

ACTUALLY the american car mfg's started doing it...it was the
federal gov. that FORCED others to do it (mostly the jap cars...at the time).

the problem was independant shops couldnt afford to buy a tool
for every dif. make/mfg...problem is the std. is NOW outdated &
so the mfg's have again taken to hiding data so you STILL have to
have special tools or software to get to the IMPORTANT data.

I called them and was told sometimes it will not work with 1995 models and no explanation or excuse why. Has anyone used it on a 1995 and what were the results? If they are advertising it this way why are they telling me it does not always work on a 1995 PSD?
