ATF change intervals?

about how many miles should the ATF be changed. i do mild towing of a single car trailer, alot of commuting to the city and the occasional traffic. everything seems fine now but want to change to a synthetic fluid. i have about 30,000 miles on the fluid now. i also have a v-10 cooler ready when it comes to changing the fluid. as of right now the odometer says 220,063

Dino fluid I try and stay within 25k-30k with mild towing,I'm not sure the extended mileage changes with Synthetic trans fluid,I'd say 50k-100k perhaps?

alright i'll take a look at the dip stick for any redness and burnt smell. thanks for the reply. by the way this is my second tranny, trying to take care of this one

The fluid in my automatic looks and smells fine, but I'm wondering if I should change it out based on time instead of miles? Anymore I do good to put 10K on the truck in a year.

If 30K is the mileage number, whats the time recommendation for when to change the fluid? Three years?
