Thats pretty neat. Never thought of that. I thought it was a door to access the bed via the side, but it is actually a seperate compartment.

it looks ugly to me, but could be useful i guess in the fleet market.

It's a neat idea for the commercial vehicle side but hopefully it won't end up on the public market then it would be an eye sore...

Actually it doesn't look quite as bad as the F250's that you can get with the tool boxes made into the bed. This is the one that appears to be a stock pickup bed, but has about three or four doors on the sides. It's a custom made bed by an outside supplier.
