Well, this was what I was thinking when I posted. But he swears it to be true. Says he made the trip yesterday, and it was better on fuel. I think I'll try it and see for my self.

Its the egr. If you unplug, do it with truck off.

Yip thats what I did. Seems to be a difference, but I will have to wait until I get to do a highway trip to really be sure about the fuel milage increase.

I unplugged it on my '04 and the CEL came on.
