I have heard that the goverment is deliquent in paying the dealers for the rebates.
I don't know how the process is supposed to work, but dealers may be holding the vehicles until the y get the goverment money? Is the goverment part owner of the vehicle?

yes they are delinquent in paying for these vehicles.they have just started paying a week ago though.a friend of mine has been hauling clunkers for 2 weeks now.

anybody know how to buy parts from those "clunkers" around texas, i cant find a salvage yard that has them i needs a bed floor, mine is beat up bad

good luck as they are "supposed" to be crushed immediately or within 180 days of its arrival.the yards arent supposed to sell anything off these cars.

you sure, its been on the news that the salvage yards can sell parts just not motors and "cabs" cuz no titles will be released and put back on the road.
